Surprisingly enough two of Hollywood’s biggest stars managed to get engaged and no one seems to know about it! With most celebrities these days not even able to leave their homes without being photographed and interrogated High School Musical stars Zac and Vanessa know how it’s done.

According to ‘National Enquirer’ Zac Efron popped the question to long time girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens while the couple were in Japan a short time ago doing promotional appearances for High School Musical Three: Senior Year.

According to sources close to the couple, Zac had not planned to propose to Vanessa and it was more of a spontaneous way of showing Vanessa’s overprotective mother that Zac is serious about his commitment to Vanessa and hence would give them the freedom to move in together. This is also why till today Vanessa hasn’t been spotted wearing any engagement bling.

The ‘National Enquirer’ writes, “Zac hasn’t given Vanessa a ring yet, But he’s hoping the proposal will buy him some time with Vanessa’s super-strict mom, Gina, who didn’t approve of the sweethearts living together before they were married.”

While these HSM stars maybe a bit young for a lifetime commitment we have been told that they don’t plan on rushing down the isle anytime soon.

To all those Zac Efron obsessed girls out there don’t be too sure that he’s off the market just yet. Zac and Vanessa are planning a very long engagement and don’t see themselves being married until perhaps late 2010.

Biography

Zac Efron was born on October 18 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California, America. Growing up, Zac always showed his interest in being in show business but it wasn’t up until age 11 when his parents first realized just how serious he was and how incredible his talent was.

Zac soon after started taking signing lessons to perfect his already present talent. Over the next short while Zach managed to star in several on-stage performances such as “Peter Pan,” “Auntie Mame”, “Little Shop of Horrors” and “The Music Man”.

Zac also made a few appearances staring in the hit television show ‘Summerland’ back in 2004. Zach started to get noticed and he soon signed on to star in the hit Movie ‘High School Musical’ which soon became a hit all across the world.

With the success of the first movie, Disney signed on to do a second installment of ‘High School Musical’ and the second one was released all over the world in 2007.

During break from High School Musical, Zac also signed on to star in the hit movie ‘Hair Spray’ staring alongside, John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer in 2007.

The High School Musical gang came back together to shoot the third and final installment of the movies in late 2007 and has just been premiered all over the world.
