It’s no secret that Miley Cyrus is a very talented young lady, one who just turned a whole year older and what better way to celebrate your 16th birthday than by performing on the America Music Awards.

Miley was one of the many musical acts who performed at Sunday nights American Music Awards and like the rest her performance definitely blew the crowd away.

The performance included some of Christina’s greatest songs from the past ten years; from ‘Genie In A Bottle’ to ‘Fighter’ Christina pleased the audience by performing at least one of their favorite Aguilera anthems.

Sunday nights 2008 American Music Awards was definitely the hottest place to be to catch all the best in the music biz.

The night’s events were kicked off with an amazing performance by Christina Aguilera which show cased the past decade of her musical contributions. The crowd went wild as Christina sang and danced along to many of the songs which have helped establish her as a renowned musical artist over the past ten years.

Other performers for the night included; Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Neyo, Taylor Swift and many more.

Many people even walked away with awards that evening. Chris Brown took home ‘Best Male Artist’ while his girlfriend and the very famous Rihanna took home ‘Best Female Artist’ in the pop/rock category while Alicia Keys Took home ‘Favourite Album’ for ‘As I Am’.

Chris Brown managed to take home the big prize this year of not only being crowned Best Male Artist but also ‘Artist of the Year’ which is the ultimate achievement at the AMA’s.

Well it’s been a long journey to the top but the 2008 Australian Idol Title goes to Wes Carr.

Thousands of Australian Idol fanatics embraced the freezing cold weather in Sydney last night to see in person who would take home the Australian Idol Title for 2008 and even with the cold, fans were not disappointed.

The Grand Finale of Australian Idol was definitely a fun event and many of the Idol contestants from previous years came back to do some fabulous performances.

The night’s performances, and firework production were all amazing but nothing beat that last moment when the Idol winner was announced and Wes took the stage for the first time as the Australian Idol for 2008.

Meet Barack Obama’s BIGGEST fan, her name is ‘Obama Girl’ and she has been obsessed with Obama and the presidential election for quite some months now.

It all started back when Obama Girl released a video on the internet showing her support and interest for Obama.

In her latest attempts to get the presidents attention, Obama girl, real name Amber Lee Ettinger poses next to a life size picture of Obama and ‘shows him her puppy’, Weird I know.

Obama Girl says that she isn’t done yet and now that Obama has been elected President of the United States that she would like to get the chance to dance with him at his inaugural ball in January.

Amber says, “I would love to get an invitation to the inauguration and to the inaugural ball, and of course would love to share a dance with Obama, if that’s okay with his wife. I think he is fresh and new and just what everybody wanted and I think he will be great.”

Jesse Metcalfe finished co-hosting the World Music Awards in Monaco over the weekend and apparently partied a little too hard at the after party where he took a fall down two flights of stairs.

According to the UK paper ‘The Sun’, the once Desperate Housewives star also hit his head whilst falling down the two flights of stairs at the WMA after party.

The actor didn’t break any bones but was sent off to do an MRI after there was some indication that Jesse may have gained some damage to his brain during the fall. The star is currently in London awaiting test results.

Jesse’s spokesperson states that, “Midway through the after show party at Jimmy’z on Sunday night he headed back to his hotel to change out of his suit so he could be more comfortable. On his way back he slipped 40 ft and was knocked unconscious. He was immediately taken to a hospital in Monaco and given X-rays. Doctors didn’t speak much English so as soon as we landed in London yesterday we had him re-examined at a London hospital.”
