Biography

Jessica Simpson was born on July 10 1980, in Dallas Texas. Living at home with her mother and father Jessica had quite a normal childhood with her father being the youth minister at the local church in her hometown.

She would sing in the church choir every weekend at mass and one day she was noticed by a music producer who happened to be attending mass at the church. She signed a contract with the producer but unfortunately the small time record company filed for bankruptcy before Jessica’s album ever made it out to a big audience.

After this disappointment Jessica was determined to continue to work on her music and find another record deal who would sign her. Some time after her fall through with the previous contract she found herself signing a deal with Columbia Records.

In 2000 Jessica released her first single of the album Sweet Kisses ‘I wanna love you forever’ which entered in on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 3. in 2001 Jessica released her second album ‘Irresistible’ which made it big in America and all over the world.

On October 26, 2002, at age 22, Simpson married fellow singer Nick Lachey and their wedding and marriage life was put on display for the whole world to see with the help of MTV and the couples reality show ‘Newly Weds’. Unfortunately in November of 2005 Jessica and Nick announced that they were separating after months of issues which they were unable to resolve.

She then went on to release her third album ‘In This Skin’ which came out in early 2003.
In 2005 Jessica took a step away from music to work on her first movie role ‘The Dukes of Hazard’.

In 2006 Jessica went on to release the album ‘A public Affair’ which didn’t do so well on the charts. It wasn’t until 2008 when Jessica decided to get back to her country routes and release a country album ‘Do You Know’ that she was given full musical accreditation.

Jessica is currently dating the Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and the couple seem to be very happy together and there may even be some wedding bells in the near future.
