Biography
Josh Duhamel was born on November 14 1972, in Minot, North Dakota, USA. Growing up, Josh lived at home with his father (Larry) an advertisement salesman and his mother (Bonny) a high school teacher. He also played big brother to three younger sisters, Ashley, Cassidy & Mckenzie.
Josh hadn’t set his sights on acting initially and attended Minot State University where he studied Biology. Playing foot ball was another passion of his but he planed on attending dental school after he had finished his Biology degree.
Whilst attending college Josh happened to fall one credit short even though he had put in the hours to do make up classes that finally he was unable to gain his degree. By the age of 26, Josh found himself working in construction and it wasn’t until one day where he happened to be at the right place at the right time where he got his big break.
Josh was out with his ex-girlfriend one day and was approached by a scout for a modelling agency in San Francisco and was asked if he would be interested in doing some modelling for them. A few days went by before Josh decided to accept the offer and take on some modelling jobs.
Josh gained so many modelling jobs that he even took out Ashton Kutcher for many of the top modelling jobs. Josh’s modelling career was put on hold after he was asked to audition for the movie The Picture of Dorian Gray. The movie wasn’t so much a success but it did pave the way for Josh to start receiving other acting roles.
Soon after Josh signed on to play the lead role on the hit television series All My Children. Josh was nominated for three day time Emmy’s for his role in the show and later on after that decided it was time to part ways with the show.He left New York after the ending of his show and moved back to Los Angeles where he managed to sign on to film his first move Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! (2004).
After his role as Tad Hamilton Josh signed on to star in the hit television series Las Vegas (2003). Since signing on with the show, Josh’s career has become very successful, taring in movies such as Turistas and even the Transformer movies.
On January 10, 2009 Josh married his super star girlfriend Stacy Ferguson (Fergie).
