Biography

Chad Michael Murray was born on August 24, 1981 in Buffalo, New York, USA. Growing up, Chad was always the centre of attention and loved performing and singing songs to his very large family. Growing up with 3 brothers, a half brother and a sister, Chad was constantly surrounded by encouragement to do what he loved.

At the age of 15, Chad was injured and was required to be hospitalised. Whilst in the hospital the nurse taking care of him suggested that he should take up modelling. Two years after that Chad entered and won a modelling scholarship to attend a modelling convention in Orlando.

Whilst in Orlando and the modelling convention, Chad was spotted by a agent from L.A who convinced Chad aged 17 at the time to pursue his life long dream to be an actor after he had graduated from high school.

While in Hollywood, Chad did a few modelling jobs whilst waiting to land a role acting in something. He modelled for Sketchers, Tommy Hilfiger and Gucci. Not too long after that Chad managed to score himself an acting role in an episode of Diagnosis Murder.

Shortly after that Chad got a larger role staring as Tristan DuGrey on the hit television series Gilmore Girls. After his role on Gilmore Girls Chad went on to star in Dawson’s Creek, CSI and even in the hit film Freaky Friday where he stared along side Lindsay Lohan.

In 2003 Chad landed the role of Lucas Scott on the hit television series One Tree Hill where he stars as a teenage boy who faces the struggles of being abandoned by his father before birth, forming a relationship with his half brother and facing the dramas of the women at his high school.

Chad is still working on One Tree Hill now in 2009 but in between filming the show he has also been very busy acting in movies. In 2004 Chad stared alongside Hillary Duff in the teen drama Cinderella Story, in 2005 he stared in The House of Wax with Paris Hilton and played Jordan Owens in the 2006 Home of the Brave.

Chad has also managed to keep quite a complicated love life in his time in the lime light. After almost two years of dating Chad Married his One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush on April 16, 2005. only five months into the marriage Bush filled for annulment. After this chad went on to date another One Tree Hill co-star, one of the extras who played a cheerleader on the show. Chad and Kenzie Dalton soon after became engaged.
