Biography

Blake Christina Lively was born on August 25th, 1987 in Tarzana, California, USA. Growing up, Blake was surrounded by a family very much involved in the show business industry. She had her very first acting role at the age of 11 when she stared as Trixie the Tooth Fairy in the 1998 film Sandman which was directed by her father Ernie Lively.

Blake still continued to go to school even though acting was quite obviously something which interested her. It wasn’t up until right before she finished high school in 2005 when she was offered the role to star as Bridget in the film The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. Producers noticed straight away how perfect Blake was for the part in the film that she scored the role without even having to audition.

After the movie and all its success, Blake ventured back to high school to complete her senior year and to try and salvage whatever part of a normal teenage life she had left after the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants became such a success. Whilst at school Blake remained completely dedicated to her studies and her education where she kept active as class leader, cheerleader and was even an active member of the choir.

Since then Blake has moved on to many bigger and better things when she stared along side Justin Long in the teen hit Accepted. After this Blake went on to star in a few more films before landing the role Serena van der Woodsen on the hit teen drama television series Gossip Girl. On the show Blake plays a teenage girl who returns to New York City after leaving quite abruptly. When she returns her life as she remembered it has disappeared and she continues to struggle between being a socialite and staying true to the friends and family around her. Not to mention her on and off relationship with a sweet boy from Brooklyn.

Blake is mostly well known for her role on Gossip Girl but she is still young with many more acting adventures ahead of her. She recently finished filming The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 which will be out in cinemas soon.

Blake is also all set to star in the up coming film The Private Lives of Pippa Lee where she stars as the main characters younger self in flashbacks through out the film.
