Choosing a Bridal Registry
Choosing a bridal registry should be one of those exciting tasks to check off your wedding checklist. Usually settling between one and two registries is the way to go, sometime sticking to one is the best.
Look in your local bridal magazines, use the internet and go to major retailers to see if they have a registry service.
Setting up a bridal registry is a great way of letting your guests know what you would like to have without you having to put up with all of your guests asking you the same old question. This way you also don’t have to be awkward about asking for something that may cost hundreds of dollars. BY your guests having access to s registry they can look at a variety of gifts from least expensive to most expensive and can then choose according to their budget.
To start, decide what your main intentions are: practical and inexpensive, traditional and memorable (keepsakes), theme-based (cooking items for two chefs, for example) or perhaps a combination of each of these. Also keep in mind that if you’d like to put the money toward your honeymoon instead, there are also honeymoon registry services that will allow your guests to do just that. Whatever it is, sit down with your partner and decide on things that you’ll would both like to receive and then shortlist. Once you have decided, you can go to the stores and tell them what you would like to be included in your registry. It’s as simple as that, then all you have to do is wait for the big day.
